WHO ARE YOU…
That’s a great question. We’re simply a church community that wants to help you take steps forward in your journey of following Jesus Christ by connecting you with other people just like yourself who are on the same journey and providing you with opportunities to serve others.
We believe everyone should follow Jesus. In fact, we believe that is what life is all about.
We are passionate about creating relevant and safe environments where people of all ages can take steps forward on their journey of following Jesus.
We believe everyone should be connected to people.
Life is about sharing. We need to share our faith, share our struggles and share our time with people in our lives. Establishing meaningful friendships is very important at Solid Rock.
We believe everyone should passionately serve. Putting others before ourselves is the most rewarding way to live life. We want to help you find opportunities to serve others and make a positive difference in someone else’s life.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT…
What should I wear?
Clothes. That’s our only request. We are much more concerned about what’s going on inside of a person, than what they are wearing on the outside. Our pastor might wear a suit & tie but don’t hold that against him.
What’s the music like?
We don’t own a pipe organ nor will we ask you to turn to page 115 of a hymnal. Our live band usually consists of guitar, drums, bass, and keys. We try to sing songs that are deep in meaning and easy to relate to. Most importantly songs that come from our hearts.
Do my kids sit with me?
That’s up to you! Our KidZone program offers safe & dynamic children services from birth to 5th grade during the Sunday morning services. The age-appropriate rooms and experienced teachers will help your children learn about God in a relevant way, as well as offer fun experiences that will help the teaching come alive in their hearts. Before you take your seats if interested someone will help you get your kids checked into the appropriate locations for their class. Or since you’re new if you’d prefer them to sit with you then we welcome that as well.
Will I be asked to give money?
Well we do take an offering and we do believe that if you call Solid Rock your church home, then giving financially to God and his church is the right thing to do as a part of the family. However if it’s your first time with us then we don’t want you to feel obligated to give at all.
Will I be bored?
We sure hope not. A life connected to Jesus is and should be fulfilling and rewarding. We strategically plan weekend gatherings to engage your heart, mind and soul. We use music, video, powerful teaching and other experiential elements to help you connect to God in a meaningful way.
What is the overall environment like?
We strive to make you feel welcome as you put yourself in the position to connect with God. We even provide fresh coffee, pretty comfortable seating, and a casual environment that will set the tone for you to be more focused on God, and less concerned about the atmosphere around you.
We understand church may be a little foreign to you, that’s why we try very hard to help you feel comfortable and at home while you’re at Solid Rock.
