Thoughts about Sunday, what a wonderful presence of the Lord today. Worship was amazing. Whenever we sing praises to Him, the bible says He will come down and live in our praises. What a wonderful reality. Pastor Don preached a great word. If you were there and heard it, it’s worth hearing again, if you weren’t there you need to listen to it. So as soon as you’re done reading this, click on the message and listen to it. Better yet subscribe to the podcast. The City Fest at the fairgrounds is this coming weekend, let’s all be there to support the ministry of over 90 churches from around Yakima and the valley. We have been praying and believing for many of our friends and family to be saved. Your prayers and efforts are about to pay off! We will see you at a connect group this week and at the fairgrounds Saturday. Have a great week. – Pastor Dan

Sitting in my father in law’s hospital room reflecting how good God is. He had a six bypass heart surgery on Thursday and tonight listening as he gives God praise for His goodness to him. God is an amazing God! Brenda and I and our family thank you for all the prayers that have gone up for Pastor Haddock and our family. The prayers of righteous people move mountains. Today was a great day, we had an amazing presence of God, worship transported us into the throne room of God. Today was our third message in our series ” Make War” “take no prisoners,” you cannot just give your flesh a life sentence and parole it for good behavior, YOU HAVE TO EXECUTE IT! Your flesh is at war with you and you better get your head in the game and get serious about taking control of your flesh! Jesus has given you power over your flesh, but you must exercise that power in your life. Stop making excuses for your flesh. Make up your mind, make your stand and take back the control over your flesh! You can do this. You’re more than capable to overcome your flesh. If you fall, get up, dust yourself off and get moving! You can do this, Christ has empowered you. Here’s to a lot of death notices to our flesh. Have a great week. – Pastor Dan

    Sunday Recap 5.2.2010

This Sunday we began our new series ” Make War. We had a great response at the altar, with people who are tired about sin in their lives and want to do something about it. They have declared war on their flesh and it’s desires. Remember your flesh has been raging war against you already so you better get into the battle. We saw another person come to Christ in our adult service and in our children’s ministry, eight children gave their lives to Jesus. That’s what it is all about! Our new connect groups start this month so be sure to get connected, either by joining one or leading one, our goal continues to be souls for the Kingdom of God. If you’re not connected, then how do you expect others to be. God is doing great things, be involved! You guys have a great week. – Pastor Dan

    Sunday Recap 4.11.2010

Some thoughts about Sunday, Pastor Don delivered a powerful word “I am the Resurrection”, with a great altar call that followed. Many rededicated their lives to Jesus. We are seeing good results with our emphasis on prayer and fasting over a five week period for the lost. We are seeing people saved every week. Since January we have witnessed the transformation of 60 people at the altar. We want to continue to see lives transformed by His power. Some have stepped up to the challenge of prayer and fasting, while others are waiting and watching. Imagine with me if all of us picked up the mantel of praying and fasting for the lost. There wouldn’t be enough time in the day to minister to all the lost people being saved. Our goal and priority is lost people finding Jesus. I want to encourage us to continue to invite our family and friends to church, to experience the life changing presence and power of God. It’s not time to relax, but time to be involved in the battle for our family and friends who don’t know Jesus. Pray for open doors this week to share God’s love with someone who don’t know Him. Have a great week. – Pastor Dan

    Sunday Recap 4.4.2010

What a great Easter day we had together. Around 220 in attendance, with 10 or more giving their lives to Christ. Great worship, tremendous presence of God and the beginning of our new series, “The Gospel”. We just completed our first full week of prayer and fasting for souls, with great results. I want to take a moment and say, our desire is to take people from the altar to leadership, and Sunday it was on display, one of our newer people who was saved in January, was baptized in February, attended a Partnership event and has been excited about serving at SRFWC, was at the altar praying for someone to be saved. That is discipleship in action. That is the Church in action.

During our all staff time this Sunday, we were missing some staff who were out of town, two of our newest partners volunteered to be greeters, both said at the same time” I’ll do it” Let’s be involved, let’s take this great news of the Gospel out of our four walls. If you haven’t signed up to pray and fast, your unsaved family members and friends are counting on you! We are on our way of reaching our goal of 100 souls being saved this month. Continue to invite your friends and family, and pray for their salvation. Remember the church is open five days a week for prayer, come pray! With that have a great week. – Pastor Dan

    Sunday Recap 3.28.2010

Just a few notes about Sunday. It was a great day, many of you stepped up to the plate and decide to join us in five weeks of fasting and prayer for the salvation of one hundred souls. Notice I didn’t say the addition of one hundred people to the church, you know people who are upset with their former church, but new salvation’s, people being birthed into God’s kingdom. You and I need to be involved in this prayer and fasting time if we are serious about the lost. Don’t cry for the lost if you are unwilling to pray, fast, and share the gospel with them. This Sunday is Easter, so we will see a packed house, be ready to stand and give a new person your seat. Park in the back lot and let’s be a servant to our guests. We are believing for your friends and loved ones to find Jesus Easter Sunday. We also are beginning our new series, The Gospel, an entire month of nothing but salvation, the cross and the resurrection. Get involved , be someone’s hope. We love you guys, be His hands and voice this week, invite someone to church. Have a great week.

    Sunday Recap 3.21.2010

A couple of thoughts before bed. Today was amazing in the presence of the Lord. It is the time that the Lord is challenging us to show crazy love to our city. Who have you served this past few weeks? Who have you loved into His kingdom? I want to challenge all us to allow the Holy Ghost to awaken us to the needs of the people of our city. Today we saw people respond to the Spirit’s prompting and surrender their lives to Christ, while many of you said I want God to wake me up. Pastor Don offered a challenge to begin to believe with us that in the month of April, during our Gospel series we will see 100 people come to Jesus for salvation. In order to see that goal accomplished , we are asking you to begin to pray and fast with us. We will have a fasting calender next Sunday, you will be able to choose the days you would like to fast. Our goal is to see everyday covered in prayer and fasting for the salvation of those 100 souls. I believe God working through all of us, we will reach our goal. Have a great week and keep asking God for opportunity to show crazy love to the people around you. – Pastor Dan

    Sunday Recap 3.14.2010

    sun_cap

Some thoughts about Sunday, this was the first Sunday after we set our clocks ahead. It seems that if we are not careful, we allow these things to distract us from our pupose as a church. We become tired or God forbid bored with the routine of church, it becomes another event in our lives. God disturb us please! There are tens of thousands of people in our city that have not heard the good news or experienced the presence of the living God. We can’t allow ourselves to be distacted for one moment, too many lives are at stake! Who have we shown crazy love to this week? The church, you and I are his method of spreading the good news. Jesus doesn’t have a backup plan, we’re it!

Think of it this way, if you were asleep in a burning house , wouldn’t you want the person driving by at 3:00 in the morning to stop and pound on your door until you woke up so you could be saved? People are waiting for you to stop and tell them. Just something to think about.

Thank you to everyone who decided to partner with us this past Saturday, be sure to sign up at the Next Steps table for the area you would like to serve in. We love you guys, have a great week! – Pastor Dan

    Sunday Recap 3.7.2010

Just a thought about Sunday. God is good, Solid Rock is on the move and growing. We are seeing more and more people in search of a real God. So my advice, scoot over and make room. Your friends and family are coming and meeting Jesus. Our new series started this Sunday, “Crazy Love” “The Word became flesh and blood and moved into the neighborhood. and we saw His glory with our own eyes”. Jesus left Heaven and moved into the lives of people, can we do any less? We have friends and family waiting for us to move into and become involved in their lives. Jesus had something to say about living an abundant life, a life worth living and people listened to Him. You and I also have something to say, and we need to be saying it, if we refuse to tell them about Jesus because of fear or maybe embarrassment, we are in effect saying we don’t care what happens to you and you can go to Hell. Let me be clear, people who don’t know Him and do not have a personal relationship with Him, will die in their sins and spend eternity in Hell. We need to show them His love, we have been called to overthrow darkness, to be a light and to unlock their prisons. All this month we are talking about “Crazy Love” let’s go love people into the Kingdom of God. Also remember the partnership class this Saturday from 10:00am to 12:00pm. We are going to work together, taking the good news of Jesus to our city. Have a great week! -Pastor Dan

    Sunday Recap 2.21.2010

    sun_cap

Just a thought or two about Sunday, we experience a great presence of the Lord today. Several responded to first time salivations, whenever Jesus shows up miracles happen. The greatest miracle is people crossing over from death unto life. We also baptized several people today, their testimonies of how Jesus changed their lives was amazing.
Some had recently returned to the Lord, others God had delivered them from drug addiction and alcoholism. Whatever the story, Jesus is in the business of crossing people over from death to life. This is why Solid Rock exists, to see lives transformed. Let me pose a question to you, how many people do you know, who can count on you sharing the life changing story of Jesus with them or put another way, if you were them could you count on you to share Jesus with you? Something to think about. Have a good week! – Pastor Dan
