Just some thoughts about today, this is the last Sunday of the last month of the last year of this decade. It really is an amazing thing if you stop and think about it. So where does this Sunday find you? We finished our series on Red Letter Christmas, the main thought being, Jesus knew His purpose and did not shrink back from it, but embraced it, knowing who He was and knowing His Father was well pleased with Him. We all face difficult decisions when it comes to our relationship with God, and life itself but no matter how challenging it is, remember anything worth living for is worth dying for. Jesus was willing to face the cross and die, because you are worth it. Ask yourself, am I committed to the purpose and will of God for my life?
As we say goodbye to 2009, let’s embrace 2010 with passion and purpose. To help us do that, we are starting 2010 off with a challenge to all of us to read through the New Testament in 30 days, beginning January 1st. Be sure to pick up your bible reading plan at the information center. The guide will also be on the web site. 2010 will be a great year, we will be a church of the word, a church of prayer and a church for the lost. Join us and together let’s become all He has planned for us. -Pastor Dan
